Signed Antique NC Pottery

This is a new page I've started to capture info about signed antique North Carolina Pottery, including Catawba Valley (which is near me). Signed pieces are stamped somewhere with the name or initials of the potter who made the piece. By "antique" I mean pieces dating before 1900.

IL	Isaac Lefevers	1831-1864	Vale in Lincoln County, NC	Apprentice to Daniel Seagle. Isaac died at age 33 from an injury suffered during the Civil War.
S LOY	Solomon Loy	1805-1860	Snow Camp area of Alamance County, NC	.
E.A. POE	Edgar Allen Poe (not the poet)	1858-1934	Fayetteville, NC.	Poe ran a brick company and sold building materials. But he also made pottery on the side during the 1880-1898 period.
TR	Thomas Ritchie	1825- 1909	Lincoln County, NC	.
DS	Daniel Seagle	1805-1867	Vale in Lincoln County, NC	The first master potter of the Catawba Valley. Considered the father of the craft in Catawba Valley.
JFS	James Franklin Seagle	1829-1892	Vale in Lincoln County, NC	Son of Daniel Seagle.
J.M. YOW	John M. Yow	1860-1906	town of Erect in Randolph County, NC	.
