PEPSI=COLA {5 cents}
Ice blue glass, height 7 5/8", BIM with crown top, plain base, has 100% original label for UPPER TEN Ginger Ale. Note that Pepsi companies used the same bottle for Pepsi and Ginger Ale, so you had to see the label to know which. 5 cent logo is in bottom loop of "Cola". Also see pictures of embossed side and closeup of 5 cent logo. An unlisted variant of the already super rare AU2 bottle (which has the highest rarity 4 rating) in Ayer's Pepsi book. AU2 is machine and this is blown, AU2 has ROOT on the bottom and this has a plain base, AU2 is mint green and this is ice blue, so this is an earlier/unknown variant of AU2. Label reads: GUARANTEED BY AUGUSTA BREWING CO., UNDER THE FOOD & DRUGS ACT, JUNE 30, 1906. SERIAL NO. 16885. This bottle sold by Reggie Lynch. | |
