Show globes were used as displays in the front windows
of Victorian drug stores.
It was said that if you enter into a tow with a red water
in the globe, then there was a spreading disease so enter with caution.
If it was filled with green water, it meant everything was normal.
To the right is an original 1891 39" apothecary show globe complete with hanging brackets, chains, frame work, and glass globe in original condition.
