Some history: Asher Taylor arrived in San Francisco in the early 1850's and owned
or was employed at soda factories in both San Francisco and Sacramento until the
late 1860's. This Taylor & co. soda was one of his mystery bottles. Records show that
he made many trips to South America, And it is believed that on one of these trips he
discovered a source for mineral water and had it bottled in these bottles. Possibly to be
distributed at one of his western soda factories.
